Iroquois Wastewater Treatment Plant

Project
Iroquois Wastewater Treatment Plant
Location
South Dundas, ON
Budget
$12,963,000

The Iroquois Wastewater Treatment Plant is a Class II treatment facility that treats 3,300 m3/day. Project highlights include the pouring of 1,800 m3 of concrete, the installation of a 750 mm gravity sewer, and the conversion of the existing digester and clarifier into waste activated sludge (WAS) and biosolid holding tanks. The project also included the construction of a raw sewage pumping station, two aeration tanks, an outdoor standby generator, an administration building, and UV disinfection and blower buildings. Several existing facility bypasses were conducted throughout the project, along with extensive renovations to the existing system processes. The existing digester building, holding tanks, and control building were completely retrofitted, all the while keeping the existing pumps, electrical distribution, and controls in continuous operation.
