Barry’s Bay Water Pollution Control Plant Upgrades

The Village of Barry’s Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant is capable of treating 1,250 m3/day. Project highlights include the construction of a blower building that houses blowers to supply air to the SBR basins and aerobic digesters. The project also included the installation of two tertiary filters and an ultraviolet disinfection system and the construction of an equalization tank, two SBR basins, two anaerobic chambers, and two anoxic chambers. Once the new facility was successfully commissioned, portions of the existing treatment process were either removed or retrofitted.
